Ryan has fixed both of our vehicles--a 99 Chrysler 300 & a 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan. He explained what he was going to do very clearly to me (who doesn't know anything about cars) & called my husband to get the okay. He was done before the expected time & we were pleasantly surprised! I definitely recommend Auto Pros to anyone who needs their car fixed. The location is central and close to bus lines if you need to travel after dropping off your car or to pick it up.

My car would't start this morning after I went to Diane's for breakfast. I called AAA for a jump start. I told them that I wanted to buy a battery if mine was bad. Once AAA got there he told me my battery was fine and that my alternator was the problem. I went over and talked to Ryan over at Auto Pros and told him I needed a new alternator based on what AAA told me. Ryan determined it was indeed the battery and NOT the alternator. I feel that was honesty at its best. He could have replaced my alternator and I would have thought nothing of it but he didn't. I really appreciate this kind of service as good mechanics are hard to find these days. I will be taking my car here from now on. I am very pleased with the service here at Auto Pros Car Care

My car was making a loud humming noise and I brought it up to the shop. Ryan diagnosed and fixed it by lunch time for an extremely reasonable price. He was super friendly and approachable. I will recommend this shop to everyone.

I was struggling to find a mechanic after being overcharged and taken advantage of at other auto mechanics in Portland. Ryan at Auto Pros Car Care was recommended through a friend and I have never had such a pleasant experience with a auto mechanic before. I brought my car to Ryan because I wanted to get it checked out before driving 4,000 miles across the country. I drive a 2000 Honda Accord that had about 208,000 miles on it when I brought it to him. He checked over everything and allowed me to take a look at each part he was inspecting and answered all my ignorant questions without hesitation. To my surprise, he could not find anything needing to be urgently fixed or addressed, but recommended a timing belt and water pump change. I was expecting to hear about changing the transmission fluid, brake fluid, shocks and struts, and other services that places like Jiffy Lube were pressuring me to do - I actually asked Ryan about this and he debunked them all. Changing the timing belt was appropriate as it was due for my car and I had no idea if it had ever actually been done at the recommended 100k service. He wasn't trying to bullsh*t me, he expressed concern that it would much more difficult and expensive for me if the timing belt broke during my trip. I spent $800 on the service as opposed to $2,000+ if the belt snapped. He did not charge me for the inspection, he gave me time to get the money together, and got my car in the shop and out in half a day! Remember, when I saw him I had less than a week left in Portland - he worked his schedule to get me in and out for the inspection and service in a timely fashion. Working on cars is more than a business for Ryan, it is his passion. He is honest, trustworthy, and a genuine human being. He cares about his work and will not recommend any work that doesn't absolutely need to be done. Since seeing him, I have recommended him to several friends and my partner and they all have similar things to say. I cannot thank him enough - I am finally driving my car with confidence. With his service, I have successfully driven across the country with all of my belongings and my partner. If you are stuck on trying to find the right mechanic, please consider Ryan.

Wonderful, honest service and a helpful attitude. This is where you bring your car after the dealer has told you that your car needs 16 things repaired. Ryan will go over your vehicle and tell you the two things that actually need fixing and then he will take care of it without charging you an unreasonable price.
